The 80s Warriors!!!

Yesterday I did the Warrior Dash with Ajay & Julie V., Holly (AHH) and her little brother, Frank. We had so much fun!

Pre-Race Planning: Looking at pictures from previous Warrior Dashes it was clear that we needed costumes. Julie brought her adorable girls to meet me at Party City where we chose the theme: the 1980s!!!! And so the 80s Warriors were born. (We chose to ignore the fact that one of the Warriors was not even alive in the 1980s...::cough::Frank::cough::)

Race Day: We got up super early and met at Ajay & Julie's at 0600, where we primped and prepared to be 80s superstars! We left at 0630 and arrived around 0800. Here is the clean, pre-race photo of the 1980s Warriors:

The Race: Our wave started at 0930. At the start there was fire that shot up into the air several times--yes, it was awesome!!!! We ran and completed the following obstacles (with pictures of the ones I have them for):

Tunnels of Terror
Tanker Trouble
Hell's Hills
Hay Fever
Cargo Climb
Walk the Plank
BlackOut
Mossy Maze
Breathless Bog
Warrior Walls
Slithering Swamp
Muddy Mayhem (crawling through mud under barbed wire!!!)
Warrior Roast (jumping over fire!!!)

And here are the Muddy 1980s Warriors:

The day was super-fun! The official photographers may have some good shots too. I expect them to post sometime this week! We did it in about 55 minutes according to Ajay's watch.

Oh! And I got hosed off by a fireman. Win. :)

Next workout, friend lifting with Devon tomorrow!
